The Centre for Dalinian Studies offers a unique frame of reference in the field of research on the figure, work and thought of Salvador Dal\u00ed. The study and continuous enrichment of its collection enable the launch of key projects and activities for the universal promotion and dissemination of Dal\u00ed\u2019s work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n

The importance of the Centre for Dalinian Studies\u2019 documentary collection has made the institution a leading centre for the study of and research on Salvador Dal\u00ed. The collection encompasses a wide variety of document types, which offer insight into the artist\u2019s thought and oeuvre. The two main sections are the documentary archive and the photographic archive.  It also has a library of more than 10,000 volumes, as well as a newspaper and periodicals archive with more than 68,000 titles related to Salvador Dal\u00ed. The collection is available for consultation by anyone studying or researching the artist\u2019s life and work, as well as other aspects especially related to surrealism.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

The Centre for Dalinian Studies also conceives of and oversees research projects on the artist. One of the most important is the catalogues raisonn\u00e9s of Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s work, which were launched in 2004 to celebrate the centenary of the artist\u2019s birth. These catalogues raisonn\u00e9s are intended to gather and share, through their online publication, accurate and rigorous information about the works from his oeuvre. To date, the Catalogue Raisonn\u00e9 of Paintings has been completed, and work continues on those of Dal\u00ed\u2019s sculptures and graphic work.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
