The passage of time would shape this place, which, between 1982 and 1984, became both Salvador Dal\u00ed\u2019s last studio and his muse\u2019s mausoleum.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/details><\/div>\n\n\n\n<div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item\"><details><summary class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__title\">Route and visitable areas<\/summary><div class=\"wp-block-coblocks-accordion-item__content\">\n<p>Although the earliest mentions of the castle date back to the 11<sup>th<\/sup> century, the basic structure of today\u2019s building \u2013 a three-storey construction arranged around a tall and narrow courtyard \u2013 can be traced to the period of maximum splendour of the barony of P\u00fabol: the second half of the 14<sup>th<\/sup> century and early 15<sup>th<\/sup> century. The visit through the building\u2019s interior is self-guided and one-way, from Room 1 to Room 10, where visitors can explore the rooms on the first floor of the castle where Gala and Salvador Dal\u00ed lived. It lasts about 20 minutes.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>The <strong>guided tour<\/strong> takes visitors on a journey through the castle\u2019s history and Gala\u2019s life based on the rooms that Salvador Dal\u00ed decorated and created for his partner, as well as the artist\u2019s final studio, where he worked from 1982 to 1984. It lasts around 75 minutes and <strong>must be booked in advance<\/strong>.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p>Both activities are carried out by Gala Salvador Dal\u00ed Foundation staff.
